Making a payment
Do you need to make a payment to the University? We have everything you need to know about what you can pay for, how to pay and accepted currencies.
Whether you're an applicant, student or making a payment on a student's behalf, we're here to help make it as easy as possible for you.
This section is for you if:
- You’re an applicant and you have been asked in your University offer letter to make a payment for a course acceptance deposit and/or a pre-sessional English language course.
- You’re an applicant for a postgraduate taught course and have been asked in an email from the University to pay your CAS deposit.
- You’re an unregistered student and you need to pay a deposit towards your tuition fees or make the first payment of your tuition fees.
Online payments
Pay the amount stated in your offer letter and quote your University ID number. Be aware that your University ID number is different to your University Application number.
Choose from a range of payment methods, including credit or debit card, bank transfer or online bank transfer.
Please ensure you check which payment method is the most cost effective for you. Making a payment using a non-UK bank card will incur an additional fee by the payment partner.

Sponsored applicants
If you’re being sponsored, please provide satisfactory evidence of this sponsorship by emailing tuitionfees@manchester.ac.uk. To submit the evidence required, use our .
To make a payment for your tuition or accommodation fees, you can pay by credit or debit card, bank transfer or online bank transfer.

Paying in instalments
You have the option to pay your tuition fees in instalments by Direct Debit. This can be set up by you, a parent, guardian, relative or friend. The Direct Debit must come from a UK bank account.
There are no additional charges to pay this way. If you set up a Direct Debit, don’t pay another instalment using a different payment method as you may be charged twice.

The University of 野狼社区 does not accept cash payment under any circumstances. Please do not arrive at the University with large volumes of cash on you.
Make a payment from overseas
We accept international payments through our partners , , and . You can pay in your local currency using a method that suits you. We'll then receive the full GBP amount you pay.
Our partners may not always offer the same foreign exchange rates, so check each payment service and use the one that offers the best exchange rate for you.
Through each service, there are a range of payment options available depending on your home country. Bank transfers are the most widely accepted.
