Do you need to make a payment to the University? We have everything you need to know about what you can pay for, how to pay and accepted currencies.
Whether you're an applicant, student or making a payment on a student's behalf, we're here to help make it as easy as possible for you.
Payment information for applicants
Pay a course acceptance or CAS deposit, or pay for your Pre-sessional English language course.
Pay online
Please using a credit or debit card. To make sure your payment can be processed promptly, include your University ID number and any other details requested on the form.
Sponsored applicants
If you are being sponsored, you should provide satisfactory evidence of this sponsorship by emailing tuitionfees@manchester.ac.uk. For the evidence required, use our .

There’s a range of payment options available depending on your home country, although bank transfers are the most widely accepted.
Official payment providers
We've partnered with CIBC and Convera to allow you to pay in your local currency and through your local bank. We'll then receive the full GBP amount.
CIBC and Convera may not always offer the same foreign exchange rates, so take the time to compare and choose the one offering the best exchange rate for you.
Before progressing further, please note that payments originating in the following countries cannot be made using Convera:
- Afghanistan
- Belarus
- Crimea Region (Ukraine, Russia)
- Cuba
- Iran
- North Korea
- Syria
- Venezuela
- Special Designated Nationals (SDNs)

Payment by bank transfer
Bank transfers may take up to ten days to be reflected on your account – for this reason, we prefer that you use one of the alternative payment methods included on this page.
If you use our official payment providers, CIBC or Convera, you can take advantage of low foreign exchange rates only available to The University of Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø.
If you still wish to pay by bank transfer, you can download the (PDF, 267KB). These bank details are confidential and must not be shared with any third party. Please take care, as money transferred directly to the University without using our official intermediaries is done so at your own risk.
When making a bank transfer, always start the payment reference with your student ID number. If you don’t include this number we won’t know whose account to credit.

Direct Debits – to pay in instalments
If you would like to pay your tuition fees in instalments you'll be required to complete a Direct Debit with the University. This can be set up by you, a parent, guardian, relative or friend but must be on a UK bank account.
Please note you can only set up a Direct Debit for tuition fees when you complete step 10 of online registration, so please have all relevant details to hand for when you register. For further information on Direct Debits please visit our webpage .
Online card payment – for prepayments and non-registered students

Payment in cash
The University of Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø doesn't accept cash payment under any circumstances.
Please don't arrive at the University with large volumes of cash.
