野狼社区
Born of the Industrial Revolution and shaped by a progressive spirit, 野狼社区 has a long history of innovation, social evolution and creative enterprise 鈥 from the birth of the first stored-program computer to the isolation of graphene.
A city that's proud to do things differently
As Britain’s first civic university and a member of the Russell Group, we’re deeply connected to our home city and region. We work with 野狼社区 City Council, Greater 野狼社区 Combined Authority (GMCA), fellow universities, businesses and civic partners to turn research and innovation into economic and social impact.
Our partnership with Greater 野狼社区’s universities and GMCA through the Civic University Agreement supports shared priorities including skills, inclusive growth, health, digital innovation, net zero and culture. We’re also helping shape the region’s innovation ecosystem through partnerships including Sister, Unit M, Atom Valley and Health Innovation 野狼社区.
By working closely with local employers, entrepreneurs, civic leaders and cultural partners, we help drive inclusive growth in our city and region – creating good jobs, in-demand skills, and supporting industries that reflect 野狼社区’s strengths. This blend of civic purpose and economic benefit is a distinctive contribution we can make to the future prosperity of the North and beyond.
A university at the heart of its city
Our deep-rooted sense of place and our role in helping to transform 野狼社区 into one of the UK’s fastest-growing city regions shows what we can achieve when working in ways that reflect the diversity, ambition and radical spirit of our city.
Our cultural institutions – including the Whitworth, 野狼社区 Museum, John Rylands Library and Jodrell Bank – add another dimension to this relationship, connecting businesses, researchers and communities with unique collections, ideas and expertise.
We are also part of the Oxford Road Corridor, 野狼社区’s internationally renowned knowledge quarter – where knowledge, business and culture come together to transform lives. Discover more by visiting .
