The single-site campus is at the heart of the city of Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø. Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø is UK’s most popular student city – a buzzing and modern metropolis and an incredibly vibrant, cosmopolitan, friendly place to live and study.
Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø has one of the most diverse populations in the UK with more than 200 languages spoken.
It is budget-friendly for international students as rent tends to be more reasonable than in many other locations. The many amenities are within walking distance of the campus with most of the shops, theatres, cafes and restaurants a short walk away.

Entry requirements
General requirements
The University of Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø welcomes a large volume of applications from Thai students each year.
General minimum entry requirements for Thai applicants are summarised below. Please carefully check the specific requirements for your chosen programme via our website prior to application.
A-levels/International Baccalaureate
If you are studying A-levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB) then you can apply for direct entry to the first year of an undergraduate/bachelor’s degree.
Typical grade requirements:
- A-levels: A*AA – ABB
- IB: 34-38 points, with 7, 6, 6 – 6, 5, 5 in Higher Level (HL) subjects

PG master’s courses (MSc, MA, MRes)
Students with a good bachelor's degree (normally, a minimum GPA of 3.0) from a Thai university can be considered for entry to postgraduate degrees at Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø.
Applicants will also need to demonstrate English language proficiency.
Pre-requisites and additional requirements are specified on the programme descriptions.
MBA
The Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø MBA requires a minimum of three years’ professional work experience.

The University of Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø offers a range of one year master’s programmes that offer an attractive alternative to academically well-qualified students without suitable work experience.
PhD
Students with a good master's degree (normally, a minimum GPA of 3.0) from a Thai university can be considered for entry to postgraduate research at Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø.
Applicants will also need to demonstrate English language proficiency.
PhDs/Postgraduate research degrees are individually supervised. We strongly recommend that prospective applicants make initial enquiries with the potential supervisor or academic school before submitting a formal application. A research proposal is required along with your formal application.
English language requirements
All international students coming to study in the UK on a student route visa are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language. The minimum English language requirements for each programme are specified in the course description.
We accept a range of global English tests (eg IELTS, TOEFL iBT). In addition, we may be able to accept iGCSE and IBDP depending on the overall score achieved.

Study abroad
If you are currently enrolled as a degree-seeking student at any accredited university or college of higher education outside of the UK, you can apply to spend a semester or full year here at The University of Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø.
We offer year/semester abroad programmes as well as participating in a number of exchange partnerships with key European and worldwide universities. Most students joining us for study abroad do so in their third year (of a four-year degree) although we do also accept applications from second- and final-year students.
Minimum entry requirements for study abroad students are a cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.

Global Futures Scholarships 2027
The University of Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø is proud to offer more than 350 awards to international students starting their studies in September 2027. The total value of scholarships offered will be over £6 million and awards will be open to students applying for undergraduate and master’s degrees.
Undergraduate awards
We're proud to offer a number of merit-based undergraduate scholarships of up to £36,000 (£12,000 per year over three years) to international students from a selection of countries across the globe.
The Global Futures Scholarships for South East Asia are open to applicants domiciled in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam.
Please note: the application form will only be made available once you've applied for an eligible course and received an offer.
Each award comprises £12,000 for the first year of study with a further £12,000 in the second and third years. Continuation of the award is conditional on attainment of 60% in final exams and assessments each year. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a discount on published international tuition fees.
Students must be taking one of the following qualifications:
- A-level;
- IB;
- STPM;
- Singapore Integrated Programme;
- Indian Standard XII (completed in an eligible South East Asian country);
- UEC;
- Advanced Placement examinations;
- Singapore Polytechnic Diploma.
Scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence, predicted and achieved grades, and your responses to questions in the online application form, which will be emailed to all eligible offer holders.
Awardees will primarily be selected based on academic merit, but the University may also consider the overall composition of the scholarship cohort, including representation across academic programmes, domicile, gender and qualification background.
- Applications will be considered from international fee-paying students domiciled in the following countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. To be considered as domiciled in these countries, applicants must have predominantly resided there during the last three years. We consider your permanent country of residence to be the country in which you are ordinarily resident, not a country where you are only living for the purpose of full-time education.
- Applicants must be applying for direct first-year entry in 2027 and have, or be working towards one of the following qualifications: A Levels; IB; STPM (Malaysia); Singapore Integrated Programme; Indian Standard XII, completed in an eligible South East Asian country; UEC; Advanced Placement examinations; Singapore Polytechnic Diploma.
- Scholarship applications from applicants who have not yet received their results will be assessed on any previous examinations, predicted grades in the above-listed qualifications and the strength of the personal statement.
- Scholarships from students who have received their results will be based upon grades attained and the strength of the personal statement.
- Applicants must be self-funded (not sponsored).
- Applicants for Medicine (MBChB), Dentistry (BDS), Architecture, or any courses with an integrated foundation year are not eligible for the award.
- Applicants must have selected The University of Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø as their FIRM UCAS choice by Monday, 7 June 2027.
- Applicants who have previously studied in the UK are not eligible for the award.
- The award applies only to full-time courses of study delivered at The University of Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø’s UK campus in Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø. Applicants for blended and distance learning programmes are not eligible for the award.
The application form will be emailed automatically to all eligible applicants shortly after an academic offer is made. Forms will be emailed from December 2026 until the closing date.

The application form will be emailed to all eligible offer-holders.
- Awardees will primarily be selected based on academic merit, but the University may also consider the overall composition of the scholarship cohort, including representation across academic programmes, domicile, gender and qualification background.
- Applicants must be self-funded (not sponsored).
- Applicants for MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture (MArch), Architecture and Urbanism (MA), Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA), MA Architecture and Digital Design, Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Clinical Medicine and Dentistry degrees are not eligible for the award. Some ‘Master’s by Research’ courses are also ineligible (see Terms and Conditions, below).
- Applicants who have studied a Bachelor’s degree outside of South East Asia are not eligible for the award.
- Applicants for blended and distance learning programmes are not eligible for the award.
